This past week we had a conference with a former student who went to Passaic Valley, his name was Alex Jiang. During this conference we discovered a lot of information, and a very detailed description on how college is. As a senior applying to colleges at the moment I thought this conference was a huge help. During this conference he told us how PV, and the classes he took, was a great help on him getting into Princeton. To me I believe that one of the most important things to focus on while getting/preparing for colleges is about the classes you take. If you take mostly electives, and easier classes because you don’t feel like trying it will be more challenging than it would if you take more classes, and less electives. I believe that challenging yourself is important, and focusing what you want to do is important. Another important thing that you study something that you have a passion for. I felt while Alex was sitting in his lab talking to us doing research, that he really enjoys, and loves what he does which is important. This was a great conference for the seniors to get a better perspective, on how college can be.
